We know I have a strong affinity for both matched set ensembles and the personal style of actress Ashley Madekwe.
So of course it was instant fashion love when pics surfaced of Ashley attending the 20th Century Fox party during Comic-Con 2015 wearing a two-piece black and white check outfit courtesy of Self Portrait.
Ashley wasn’t the only Hollywood starlet to show appreciation for the Self Portrait crop top and wide leg pant combo, though.
Hunger Games actress Willow Shields was actually first in giving the Self Portrait look its red-carpet moment, wearing the ensemble at Nickelodeon’s 28th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards.
Ashley kept things simple with her accessorizing, opting for black heeled sandals and a black leather clutch.
But Willow added a powerful punch of color to her look with a pair of purple suede pumps, and a matching purple leather clutch.
Both ladies look great, and the only differences come down to a preference of color in the accessories.
To purple or not to purple? That is the question.
